Team TRUE managed to sneak away from the mild weather of the PNW and jet off to the sunshine down in Chandler, Arizona for our first tournament of 2023. Duel in the Desert was held May 6th - May 8th at the beautiful Whirlwind Golf Club. With a field of 100+ golfers, the atmosphere was electric; the competition was stacked, and the beverages were flowing. Friends from all over the country joined us for 4 rounds of competitive golf, camaraderie, and memories that lasted a (unfortunately) short 72 hours.

We're extremely thankful that several brands came out to support the event - while also partaking in a bit of the competition. Each player took home a swag bag with items from TRUE, New Level Golf, Embrace Putters, Youth on Course, Stickit, and Puttview Books that totaled over $400 each. A pretty good way to start the event if you ask us! Our friends at The Par Train podcast setup and broadcasted live during registration while players got ready for the initial round - and they continued that broadcast through the first night’s hosted dinner and even the next day during the epic skins game.
We could reminisce about how much fun the event was - but we'll just say this: It's nearly impossible to underline how much fun it was to bring so many fans of the brand together for a few rounds of golf. Seeing everyone not just golf together, but hang out during post round dinners and a few games of blackjack really highlight how golf has the ability to bring people together; from all walks of life - and for that, we're thankful.
